Bagher Mohammadzad started in 1911 in Tabriz, Iran buying fine rugs and exporting them to Europe, his son Rashid Mohammadzad came into the business at the very young age of nine. He expaned the family business and opened his first shop in Tehran at the age of eighteen. In his mid twenties he expanded to Hamburg, Germany. Rashid emigrated to America in 1978 and opend up shop. His honesty and kindness made him a succesful and well loved man. His sons Abbas & Nasser took on the tradtion of the oriental rug business, with the same passion and beliefs. Abbas Mohammadzad over sees the Houston showroom and Nasser Mohammadzad looks over the Pennslyvania operations. The showroom in Houston Texas houses thousands of fine collectible antique rugs from all over the world, hand picked by us and restored fully with no compromise in our own workshop.
